A social media campaign has gone viral after two gangrape videos went viral on WhatsApp. The videos were later put out on YouTube and Facebook by social activist Sunitha Krishnan asking people to help identify the alleged rapists.
Krishnan’s plea for the identity of the rapists have gone viral on social media.
The two videos show a group of men sexually assaulting two separate women in turns as they beg and plead the men to let them go. The six men can be seen smiling and laughing as they perpetrate the horrific crime.
So far, the police have not yet filed any complaints since neither the women nor the rapists have been identified and no one has come forward to lodge a complaint in the two cases.
This is a grab from the second rape video.
It is also not known as to where the horrific crimes took place and whether it was the same group of men who committed the two rapes.
Krishnan, who lives in Hyderabad, herself is a rape survivor and campaigns to protect women from trafficking.
Earlier today, soon after Krishnan gave an interview regarding the two crimes to a TV channel, her car was stoned. It is not yet known who stoned the car, but due to her work in the saving women, she has enough enemies in the Old City of Hyderabad.
